This was better than I remembered.. sooo hot. I loved how you had Keller come clean but still be able to continue his game, offering Olivia a release for the night.

Would love to read chaos again but I understand your consent dilemma in posting. Now back to finishing breaking point

Author's Response:

OMG, I feel awful!  I thought I'd responded to this, and apparently I never did!!  Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me your thoughts... I'm so sorry to leave you hanging like this.  I am hugely grateful for the feedback and am so glad you still like this insanely twisted fic after all of these years... ;) So... "Chaos"...I'm still *so* conflicted about posting or not posting. Right now I've been sharing privately via email to those who want updates. If you would like me to forward a PDF version your way, I'd be happy to.  Just shoot me an email with your contact info via the site. There's much more to it than there used to be... xoxo, Jessica

Oh... My... God... I mean, its really the only thing that came to my mind when I read this - I was slightly worried about the "Dark and Disturbing" part, not wanting any true harm coming to Liv but... O_O *mind blown*.

This pairing, while obviously very dangerous, given his "career path"... Opens sooooo many doors, windows and holes in the wall that its... well... Jesus, Yeah... I can see some very real possibilities with this, unfortunately the romantic soft-side of me, would want to go a more tender route but... There can be a lot of danger in romance too ^_^ lol

Phew, gonna go find me a cold shower now ;)

Author's Response:

Hi Sarah! Welcome! (So sorry it sounds as though you didn’t get my email response about the registration password! Didn’t mean to leave you hanging...) You must think I’m all sorts of terrifying if you started with this fic...Lol. ;) This was pure escapist fantasy for me that came about following an Oz binge... (also had needed a break - no pun intended - from “Breaking Point” back then).  Anyway, I’m so glad you liked it, even though it’s clearly extemely dark and twisty. Lol re: “career path”. Ha! Yeah... I loved CM in that role. Keller is such a complex character. I truly think he would never have actually harmed her, even though he has to keep her afraid and guessing to preserve his freedom. (Though he does give her the opportunity to end him...even though she can’t follow through.) Ah...complicated mind f—k... ;) I did actually start writing another back then (was a B/K/O fic called “Chaos”) but have opted not to re-post it here because there was no way around the very clear consent issues, and I didn’t want the reviewing mob to come after me for my flight of fantasy... Thanks so much for taking the time to leave me your thoughts! So appreciated... xoxo, Jessica

Damn girl I can  barely type with the shaking. That was, I don't even have the words! Damn damn damn

Author's Response:

Wow...um...so, was “Deception” your fic intro to me? (Or maybe you read “Breaking Point” and were feeling brave? Lol...) Welcome to the dark and twisty side of the fics...O_O.  This one is stressful... Hopefully a good stressful and not a completely traumatized stressful...?? ;) Like my caveat said - just pure escapist PWP for the sake of Keller/Liv...but since he’s a sociopath and all....things are um...dark.  Thanks for typing while shaking!! xoxo, Jessica

This was one of the BEST fanfic stories I have ever read! Damnit I think I might ship Olivia and Keller now! wtf???!!!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!!! (insert maniacal laughter here) Were you Stockholmed too?? But...in full honesty, I kind of ship Keller and Liv too... It is clearly SO not a healthy relationship (no blinders there) but I don’t think Keller would ever truly hurt Liv. I think, in his way, what starts as pure manipulation/gratification for him turns into true feeling by the end. I mean, Olivia *does* have that effect on people... This story emerged from my having binged a bit too much Oz during a time where I needed an escape from writing ‘Breaking Point’ and I just thought the idea of Olivia and Keller crossing paths would be interesting in any manner, but especially if she didn’t realize the difference and the danger there. Again, this was just was purely escapist for me. I’m fully aware of the consent issues, etc. but CM in that role just oozes so much testosterone that I couldn’t help myself from indulging the fantasy a bit. (On the old site, I’d actually started posting an Olivia/Keller/Beecher fic where Olivia gets trapped in Oz during a standoff, but if ‘Deception’s’  consent issues were problematic, those were clearly more so, and I decided to stop posting and pull it so as not to cause a ruckus...) Anyway, thank you so much for your kind words! (Sorry for the lengthy ramble...) xoxo, Jessica

Well, that wasn't as dark as I assumed.  Never really watched Oz but I was expecting something worse as it was a about prison.  Especially when he put her on her knees and later nearly drowned her.  That was definitely new.  For her, it was more emotional torture than anything else.  Though she got multiple orgasms out of it, that has to be one serious mind-f*ck.

Author's Response:

Agh! Another review of yours that I forgot to respond to somehow! I’m so sorry! (In my head, I thought I had!!) Oz is an incredible show if you ever decide to give it a chance. The entire cast is amazing, and it was truly groundbreaking back in the day. CM doesn’t appear until the second season, bit it’s really important to watch from the beginning if you do give it a shot. At any rate, I’m glad that you thought this wasn’t as dark as it could have been. Keller’s a sociopath capable of violence, but on the show it is always directed toward men and by all accounts it alludes to his emotional manipulation of the women in his life, but no physical violence toward them. In this case, though, knowing that he’s trying to stay free, I think it adds to the suspense with the “will he or won’t he?” dynamic that builds toward the end. (Or, at least, hopefully it felt that way as a reader). Mind f*ck is correct!! Thanks, as always, for taking the time to leave me your thoughts! So sorry it took me so long to respond! xoxo, Jessica

Author's Response:

So this I was not expecting to see!  Had you never read this one??  When you talked about danger and angst, well...add some PWP and this is the result...........  O_O ...........  xoxo, Jessica

In the back of my mind, part of me always remembered that this story had existed, but to be able to actually read it, again... Fuuuuuuuuuu....... It is wonderfully uncomfortable, insanely bothersome in so many ways, an absolutely brutal mindfuck, and a deliciously dark one, at that. Thank you for creating this parallel world, this alternate universe where both versions of the man we know and love (love to hate?) exist. The utter despair and abject horror Olivia feels about not only the situation, but also her reaction to it, moves me to tears. I don’t know whether to rage or cry or hope for more. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Bravo.

Author's Response:

Thanks, Colleen! Were you STOCKHOLMED while reading it?! Haha. I love your description of this insanely twisted one-shot.  Thank you for being so forgiving and accepting of this dark escapist clusters—k of a fic.  I remember writing it when a) I needed a break from Breaking Point and b) when I had been binge-watching far too much Oz and was drowning in a sea of angst-ridden Meloni-shaped testosterone in need of an outlet. Liv seemed like a good outlet...lol. xoxo, Jessica

This is amazing. I was worried at first that Olivia would feel violated afterwards but somehow I think she won't now ... Despite the cruel game Keller played with her, there were real emotions involved for both of them. He was very sensitive to her, reading her as if he knew her like Elliot does. I can't even begin to imagine what it will be like for Olivia to see the real Elliot again at work but I guess that's not what this story is about. Very deep and very erotic and sexy at the same time. Well done.

Author's Response:

I hadn’t expected you to read anything let alone review, so this was a wonderful surprise to wake up to this morning.  I remember that I felt as if *I* had Stockholm Syndrome while writing this, and I think it is the same for Olivia and perhaps also for you given the pieces you mentioned in your review.  That’s the tricky piece with Keller - he’s not all bad, and he does have very real emotions and a caring side (if you ever watch any Oz, you’ll see that dynamic across seasons between him and the character of Beecher). The “I know what it’s like to love someone you can’t have,” line was written with a lot of the Oz backstory in mind...ironic that it could be a very real parallel for his understanding of Olivia.  But Keller also has a really dark, twisted side, so you never know what you’re going to get with him.  Ah...mind games... and definitely blurry consent issues, but it was important to me that he identified himself to her at some point because while it didn’t undo the betrayal/violation, she did make a conscious choice (albeit following emotional manipulation) to continue. This was escapist indulgence for me, so thanks for reading and for the kind words. xo, Jessica
