Work in progress...

Welcome to my little attempt at bringing back an old friend. Please bear with me as I iron out the kinks. I am not a website/tech person by trade, and trying to resurrect something from the ashes is easier said than done. Suggestions are welcome. Together, we are truly rebuilding this from the ground up.

 

Our little community may have dwindled with the loss of the original SVUfiction and SVUfans sites, but I know everyone is out there somewhere... If you know an author/reader/lurker/fan that wants the heart of what once was to endure, please point them this way...

 

I recently came across a box tucked away in the back of my closet. Inside, I found a huge stack of printed copies of reviews and replies I'd saved from readers on the old SVUfiction site. I hadn't remembered printing them, but am forever grateful that I have them. The words are hugely personal and meaningful, and in some cases, I found the beginnings of connections with people (both writers and other fans) who are now close friends in real life. Family, really. Yet some people - known only by pen names - were lost for good in that site crash, as I had no means of connecting with them again. There is part of me that hopes that some of them may stumble across this site and make outreach. I consider them internet friends who shared a lot of themselves with me over the years, and I feel like I never got the chance to say, "thank you."

Attention Authors!

Please note that when you are uploading stories, if you're cutting and pasting from a word doc you HAVE to use the little clipboard icon with the "W" on it, or else you will suffer hours of frustration trying to figure out why the text is tiny and the spacing ginormous. Perhaps I speak from personal experience........

All members: Some customization of this site is possible. I have installed four "skins" that you can toggle through. I have set the default to be "Stardust" as that is my personal preference, but you have the ability to swap back and forth via the drop-down menu (typically found toward either the bottom or right side of the page).
